Fraser’s Hill International Bird Race 2009 is going to be different this year. The 88 years old resort will be undergone a RM20 million restoration under the Ninth Malaysia Plan, and the facelift completion was time for the bird race.

The main objective of the facelift is to preserve the English colonial concept which has been the main attraction for Fraser’s Hill all the while.

What is included in the facelift?

1. spend RM4.5 million to upgrade Puncak Inn and some other bungalows
2. add wooden huts and safety ropes along the jungle trails
3. new paint for the colonial buildings
4. put up more colorful streetlights
