Carnival Sales 2009 has started last weekend (4 July), and will be ended by 31 August 2009. The 58 days event is targeted to occupy 30% of the tourist total spend during the sales period.

Grab the opportunity to win prizes worth more than RM10,000 now by entering the ‘Penang Postcard Photography Contest’!

Penang government together with KDU Penang are organizing a postcard photography contest in conjunction with the first anniversary of Georgetown being awarded as a World Heritage Site. The contest is open for public and contestants are required to send in their photo before 31 August 2009.

The theme for the contest would be Penang itself. It could be the state’s culture, heritage, landscape, food and people. The winning photos will be printed into postcard and distributes to tourists. The action is aimed to introduce Penang to more people all over the world.

All contestants will be given a participation certificate and the prizes for top three winners are RM2000, RM1500 and RM1000 respectively. Besides, there are also two consolation prizes worth RM200 to be won.

Malaysia Savings Sale 2008 is now started! It would be last for 37 days from 29 Nov 2008 to 4 Jan 2008. The event which is previously known as the Malaysia Year-End Sale was renamed to the all new Malaysia Savings Sale could be due to the economy crisis which affects the country since last few months. However, the theme might not be so important providing the prices are low.

Yaa hoo!

Hari Raya is just around the corner, and I believe all Malaysian are looking forward to the celebration. The festival will be fall on 1st & 2nd Oct 2008 (Wednesday and Thursday) and it could be a long break if applying for leave together with the weekend
