Kukup Laut, located on the west coast of Johor State, surrounded by water, is the south-most village found at the southwest tip of the Peninsular of West Malaysia, suppose to be the south-most village found within the Continental of Asia.
After waiting for so long, the Gold Coast Morib resort has started their operation in May 2011. However, there is only one room studio available at this moment. And the rate would be RM290 per night.

Besides the beach activities, the resort’s water park also serves as the playground for the families. The Gold Coast Morib water park entrance fees is RM20 per person, but the residents will get 50% off during their stay.

Seems like they still need some time to get the resort fully operated. The performance stage, proper hotel restaurant and last but not least their service…in order to allow the resident to enjoy their stay at Gold Coast Morib. We are looking forward to the world class resort in the very near future!

Under construction for quite a long time and it was open to public recently. At Karak Highway after Bentong toll, make a left turn into Bentong town and heads toward Raub. In Raub, after the Rest House and Dewan Jublee, turn left and follow the sign board of Technology Park Malaysia Raub branch. Go straight and you will pass by Sungai Lui, Cheroh, Batu Talam, Tersang before you reach Sungai Koyan.

At Sungai Koyan, keep left when you see the Mobil petrol station. You will have to make a left turn to the Pos Betau direction. You are now on the right path. Keep going until you are in the Cameron Highlands border. When you are in Cameron Highlands, you will first passing by the vegetable farm along the road until you are at the junction in front of Ringlet town’s Shell petrol station. Turn right will lead you to Tanah Rata and Brinchang. On the other hand, turn left to Ringlet and Tapah.

The road is perfectly done except one or two spots which need some improvement work. Personally, I think it’s a very nice road to travel while enjoying the beautiful tropical rain forest view along the way. It takes about 2 hours to reach Cameron Highlands from Raub at a very relaxing speed. It is getting nearer now, so why rush?

Have you not seeing the Gold Coast Morib Christmas launching banner advertisement beside the road anymore? Yes, guess they have to temporary keep that for the time being. After confirmed with the staff from the site, they have to cancel the Christmas launching as promised earlier. According to the staff, they have extended the launching to the Chinese New Year 2011. But when asking about the date, no confirm date has been set so far.

However, the development for Phase B seems like matching the Phase A which is unexpected. As for the water theme park, the basic shape is there by now, waiting for more interior work to be done in order to be ready for operation.

So, for those who are expecting the launching of Gold Coast Morib, guess you have to wait for some more time.

For more details, check out their new website at http://www.gcr.com.my/

Morib has been upgraded!

Gold Coast Morib, one of the most prominent project lately along the Morib beach is going to launch during Christmas 2010. Another project which is under development simultaneously is the Gold Coast Sepang which located about 40KM south from Gold Coast Morib. These two projects are expected to drive in large number of visitors to the West Coast after launching.

Gold Coast Morib consists of condominium and hotel rooms. However, this coming launching will only target on the condominium. According to the developer management, the buyers of the prominent holiday resorts are not only locals but investors from foreign countries like China, Middle-East countries and also European countries.

The soon to be launched condominiums are in the final staged of development. After the facilities like swimming pool and infrastructure are done, launching in the coming 6 months shouldn’t be an issue. Therefore, we are going to witness the huge and grand launching of the Gold Coast Morib in conjunction with the Christmas celebration in December 2010.
