Pulau Kapas

Pulau Kapas, is located 5km offshore of Terengganu in the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia. Having its name as Kapas meaning “cotton”, it is well-known with the white and clean sandy beach. It is indeed a spectacular destination to get a warm vacation under the sunshine with soothing sea breeze.
Water activities like swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, boating and fishing are the popular sports here. One can admire the myriad of corals and sea creatures like turtles and shell fishes when snorkeling or scuba diving in the clear blue ocean. There is no village and only chalets in Pulau Kapas. The basic but comfortable accomdation is available here. During the monsoon season between November to March the island is isolated, so during this season this place is close and it is recommended not to visit during this monsoon season. The best time to go will be from May to August. To get there you have to board a boat from Marang jetty and a 10 minutes boat-ride will take you to the Kapas Island Resort. |
